The Special Election in Marshalltown over the Franchise Fee is coming quickly. This special election will be on September 12th and most residents in Marshalltown will have 3 questions all about the Franchise Fees. If you live in Ward 3, you will also be voting on a new City Councilor. Ballots for this election were ordered this week after the withdraw period ended for the Ward 3 City Council spot. Without the Ward 3 vacancy Nan Benson, Marshall County Auditor/Recorder, could have ordered the ballots sooner. You are able to request an absentee ballot until Monday August 28th, and the ballots are able to be sent out starting that day. As the Election approaches, we will continue to keep you informed of where polling locations are, and how you can participate.
