The Marshalltown Community School district announced this week that they are bringing a special guest to town.  Alex Boyé is coming to perform at the Marshalltown Performing Arts Center Stage.  Boyé is known for his dynamic African-infused music, he was named 2017 Artist of the Year and grand prize winner in a music contest sponsored by Pepsi and Hard Rock Café.  Boyé is an official ambassador for many causes, including the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, and speaks across the country giving entertaining keynotes on mental wellness. Boyé will be performing his “You Are A 10” concert on Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. MCSD is one of 100 tour hosts for Boyé to perform, this performance is free and open to the public.
