Tuesday, the Ames Police Department responded to a report of a gunshot heard on the north side of City Hall, located at 515 Clark Ave.  Officers found a deceased female and based off of the initial investigation, the death appears to be from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  Ames Police Department continues to investigate this situation, anyone with any information is asked to reach out to the Ames Police Department, anonymous tip line, or the Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa.
