Around 9:30 on Tuesday night, emergency personnel responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting at 104 E Noth Street in Marshalltown.  Once on the scene, Police Officers found an 18-year-old male who had been shot.  The victim was transported to Unity Point Hospital with what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries.  Other individuals at the scene were not cooperative with law enforcement.  In the press release from the Marshalltown Police Department, Police Chief, Mike Tupper states, “Evidence indicates this was not a random act of violence but rather a targeted incident. It is likely everyone involved is well acquainted with each other and we are not receiving much in the form of helpful cooperation. The police investigation will continue until we identify who the shooter was and bring that person to justice.”  The investigation is on-going.
