CAPS, or Child Abuse Prevention Services, here in Marshall County have been helping families that move to town get orientated for years.  This was truly highlighted when the Marshalltown for Ukraine group got started.  They want to help people understand all the systems in place

That is Linda Havelka, Executive Director for CAPS.  Similar to conversations with YSS, CAPS does much more in our community than Child Abuse Prevention.  There may be a name change in the future.

Havelka talks about how they recently changed their mission statement to empowering families and youth in Marshall County.  Be on the look out for the rebranding of CAPS in the future.
