Hellberg Jewelers celebrated a special anniversary yesterday, 125 years of business in Marshalltown. Vic Hellberg, 4th generation of Hellberg running the store, tells listeners about some of the history. First he talks about the location of the original store.
Vic’s great grandfather started the Jewelry store in 1893. He was am immigrant from Sweden and had a background in a watch factory. He was moving his family from North Dakota, and they were traveling on a train across the country.
