Yesterday was supposed to be the first day of work for Marshalltown’s new city Administrator Joe Gaa.  He was able to make the move from Aberdeen, South Dakota early, which allowed him to start a week early in Marshalltown.

Gaa talks about his work with different small towns in Iowa, especially Chariton where he admits the roads were worse there, than in Marshalltown.

Gaa has hit the ground running in Marshalltown, he is now in week 2 of the job.  At the city council meeting last Monday Gaa was in attendance and introduced at the beginning of the meeting.
