Troy McGahuey is the city of Marshalltown Sewer Superintendent, he has been working for the city for over 15 years.  McGahuey knows more about what is happening below ground than most people in the city.

The systems use gravity to move majority of the contaminates around.  Once they get to a station, the contaminates are then pumped to the water pollution control plant.  If people are having issues with toilets, sinks, or other drains not draining, McGahuey says to call his team

McGahuey suggests to save yourself some money and call them first as it is a free service.  His team would be able to tell you whether it’s the sewer line or a pipe in your building.
