The Marshalltown Area United Way kicked off their campaign 2 weeks ago at the MAC with JBS ribs.  The goal for this years campaign is $825,000, and Kendra Sorenson, Executive Director with the Marshalltown Area United Way gives listeners an update.

The big fundraiser for the United Way is the Power of the Purse event in October.  Over 230+ are attending this event, but they are in need of purses.  Kendra makes a call to listeners
