Last week students at the University of Northern Iowa received an email letter from the university informing them that a student had died earlier in the week. The letter was sent Thursday, September 28th, from the Vice President for Student Life Heather Harbach and Assistance Vice President and Dean of Students Allyson Rafanello. The family has asked for privacy at this time so we will not release the name of the student. UNI in their letter reminds students of mental health services, if any student needed them during this difficult time. The counseling center along with the dean of students’ office are 2 places students can go to seek out support.
