Deputy Jon Rogers is a Sheriffs Deputy and has been with the Marshall County Sheriffs Office for 8 years.  Deputy Rogers is also the Traffic Safety Deputy, and oversees enforcement and education around traffic safety in Marshall County.  This week is School Bus Safety Week, and Deputy Rogers is the perfect person to talk to about School Bus Safety.

Deputy Rogers says the biggest issue he sees is speed.  This is consistent to what KFJB has heard from Marshall County Sheriff Joel Phillips and Marshalltown Police Chief Mike Tupper.

Deputy Rogers reminds listeners that there is a law against texting and driving or using social media and driving.  School zones can have extra youth running around, so any distract can cause a major issue.
