The fall is breeding season for deer in Iowa and that makes them more active which means drivers will have a higher chance of seeing deer on the roadways.  Animals can cause major issues in an accident; Marshall County Sheriff Joel Phillips shares some statistics from 2022.

Many times, drivers will see that initial doe out on the roadway, but may not see the trailing buck.

Sheriff Phillips asks drivers to slow down and pay attention to the roadways this fall.  Deer are just one obstacle out on the roadways this fall, he also reminds listeners of the slow moving farm vehicles as well.
