Last night the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce held a City Council Candidate forum for the 2 contested races.  All 4 candidates for the 2 contested races attended last night.  One of the hot topics in Marshalltown is fixing the roads, especially after the failed franchise fee.  Here is At-Large incumbent, Gary Thompson talking about his strategy to fix the roads.

Thompson then talks about reallocating some of that money towards the roads.  Thompson’s challenger, Leopoldo, or Sunny, Reyes gave his thoughts.

The franchise fee was recently shot down by voters, many were curious about which roads the fee would have fixed.  People are able to watch back the entire open forum from last night on KFJB-TV’s YouTube or Facebook page.
