David Hicks, the Executive Director with YSS in Marshall County, called the KFJB line last week to give an update about MPACT. MPACT is Marshalltown Police and Community Team, it is a program where social workers respond to calls that they would be needed at.

Hicks then compares that data to last year’s numbers

While the program may be responding to more calls this year, this still frees up law officers time to handle other issues in our community.  The social workers are then working with the people who need the help.
