Yesterday was the City and School Board elections and we have results for a few races in Marshall County.  Starting with Marshalltown City Council, the At-Large Race was between incumbent Gary Thompson and challenger Sunny Reyes.  Thompson wins this race, getting 1,141 votes to Reyes 706.  Ward 2 race in Marshalltown was between incumbent Gabe Isom and challenger Mark Mitchell.  Mitchell narrowly gets the victory he gets 325 votes to Isom’s 323.  The east Marshall School Director District 4 had a challenge between Megan Ruopp and Andrew Cole. Ruopp gets the victory getting 203 votes to Coles 116.  The Des Moines Mayor is no longer Frank Cownie as he did not run this cycle, Connie Boesen gets the victory over Josh Mandelbaum.  Boesen earned 14,488 votes to Mandelbaum’s 13,777.
