The Marshalltown Area United Way is in the middle of their campaign for this year. Volunteers, board members, and cabinet members have been ‘arrested’ all week to help raise money for the United Way. Kendra Sorenson, executive director, talks about the jail and bail.
The goal was to have each person raise at least $100 to bust out of jail. This has turned into a competition and currently Cindy Brodin is in the lead as she raised $600 for her bail. Sorenson tells listeners where the United Way campaign is currently at.
The United Way supports 32 programs and 28 agencies in Marshall County. 99% of your donation will stay local. To learn more or to donate you can visit unitedwaymarshalltown.org
