Last night the election center was filled with individuals waiting and watching the Ward 2 City Council recount in Marshalltown.  Each Ward 2 candidate, Gabe Isom and Mark Mitchell, were able to pick designees to help recount the ballots along with Judge Bethany Currie.  Isom had Noah Ridgway as his designee and Mitchell had Mark Eaton.  The results of the recount were the exact same as the results from election night, Mitchell defeats incumbent Isom 325 votes, to 323.  Mark Mitchell will be sworn in at the beginning of the calendar year.
