The Marshalltown girls basketball team faced off against Des Moines Roosevelt last night.  Roosevelt got off to a hot start and did not lose the lead, Roosevelt wins the game 44-13.  The girls are now 1-1 on the season, they will be playing next on KFJB-TV this Friday.

The Marshalltown boys basketball team also faced Des Moines Roosevelt last night in the Roundhouse.  Roosevelt completes the sweep and beats the Boys 68-50.  The Bobcats were lead by Sophomore Kyle Smith, here is head coach Mike Appel after the game.

The Boys will play again on Thursday this week.  The game will be at home against Newton, tip off is scheduled for 7:45.  KFJB-TV will have coverage beginning at 7:15
