Last night the Marshalltown Bobcat Boys Swim team faced off against Des Moines Hoover Huskies down in Des Moines. The Bobcats won 7 of the 11 events earning a team victory. Junior, Lincoln Barker, won 2 individual events, Barker won the 100 butterfly and the 200 Individual medley. The boys will be competing again tomorrow at the Boone Relays beginning at 10am
The Marshalltown girls basketball team faced off against the Newton Cardinals last night in the roundhouse. The girls kept the game close but Newton pulled away at the end winning the game 43-33. The girls will next play tonight on KFJB-TV when they visit Urbandale. Coverage will start at 6pm this evening.
The Bobcat Boys basketball team also faced the Newton Cardinals last night. The boys were out shot and lost the game 59-33. The Bobcats lost their hot hand in the 2nd quarter and could not find it the rest of the game. Newton, however, stayed hot and started the 2nd half with a 12-0 run. The boys will play again tonight against Urbandale following the girls game.
