Marshall County Sheriffs Office and the Governors Traffic Safety Bureau are partnering this holiday season and reminding drivers that ‘tis the season to drive sober.  Last December, almost 1,100 drivers were charged with OWI’s on Iowa roads, and about 25% of those were 2nd and 3rd offenses.

That is Traffic and Safety Deputy Jonathan Rogers with the Marshall County Sheriffs Office.  He shares how Marshall County roadways are unique because of our location.

Deputy Rogers says with the college traffic and additional traffic with people traveling to see family, the roadways will be busy this holiday season.  Extra enforcement will be on our roadways December 15th – January 1st.
