A special election is coming up for the City of Marshalltown on March 5th. Nan Benson, Marshall County Auditor/Recorder, joined the KFJB line recently to tell people about what the election is about. She mentions that it is focusing on LOST Dollars, which are Local Option Sales Tax dollars.
Benson mentions that the city of Marshalltown will not be the only municipality reviewing LOST dollars.
This special election will come quickly as the date set is March 5th, the first Tuesday in March. As we approach the date, KFJB will share polling locations and any other pertinent information.
