The State Center Police Department announced on their Facebook page this weekend that they helped 16 children during Shop with a Cop.  While the event happened this weekend the Police Officers and youth were able to get some food at Bailey’s Pizza and Broasted Chicken and the Pink Petal.  State Center Police Department thanked Target in Ames for their hospitality with the event.  Previous years State Center Police Department has partnered with the Marshalltown Police Department, but in 2022 they created the State Center Peace Officers Association.  This association has reserve peace officers, part-time officers, and full-time officers all part of it.
