Marshall County Conservation recently announced that Green Castle will have construction start in the Spring for a campground.  Emily Herring, Marshall County Conservation Director, tells listeners when the first phase ins planned to be completed.

This first phase will cost the Conservation $1.2 million which includes, 14 campsites and 2 accessible sites near the shower house, a new shower house and bathroom facility (with flushable toilets), and a dump station added.  Herring describes the campsites

The campsites will be able to accommodate RV’s as well as your traditional tent campers.  There will be 2 other phases of upgrades coming to Green Castle, Herring says the first phase is the largest due to the shower house.  The money being used from these projects is coming from Grants and Private donations.
