The 4th Monday of the month is December 25th, Christmas Day, so the Marshalltown City Council has moved the regularly scheduled meeting to today at noon. There are a few hot topics that will be discussed before the end of the year.
That is City Councilor Jeff Schneider reviewing some of the topics to be discussed today. When discussing parking, previously there had been no overnight parking in the downtown lots. The new ordinance would allow for parking for 72 hours.
This will be the last city council meeting for Ward 2 councilor Gabe Isom, Mark Mitchell will take over that role in January as he won the election in November. The final City Council meeting is today at noon in the Council Chambers.
