Students from East Marshall stopped by the KFJB studio yesterday for Central Iowa Today, talking about the S.E.A.L. program. S.E.A.L. stands for Students Empowering and Leading, it is the philanthropic club working with the Community Foundation of Marshall County.
That is Ashley Quastad, senior at East Marshall High School, she goes on to mention that S.E.A.L. has $5,000 that they will award this year to a group in their focus area. Next Savannah Cahalan, Junior at East Marshall, tells listeners how to apply.
That website to visit is cfmarshallco.org. Those that are 501©3 organizations are able to apply for grants this year. Student philanthropy groups at East Marshall, West Marshall, and Marshalltown each have a focus area and amount of money they will grant each year as partners with the Community Foundation.
