Last night at the City Council Meeting, Deb Millizer, Director of the Marshalltown Central Business District, talked about the Ice Rink that has been put in, in downtown Marshalltown. She first started by thanking businesses and the city to make this project happen.
People will be able to rent out Ice Skates from the Park and Recreation Department for $2 a day. Their office does close at 4:30, so you will need to think ahead if you want to skate at night.
There will be a soft opening this Friday, as long as the green flags are up. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony happening Monday from 11am – 1pm at the Ice Rink.
