Back in November the Marshalltown City Council gave Fire Chief Dave Rierson to go out and get bids for a new Chassis.  This is a truck the Fire Department will use in their fleet.

Of those 7 dealerships, the chief only heard back from 2 of them.  Bob Brown and McGrath Auto Group.

Chief Rierson mentions that the Chassis from McGrath Auto Group is $2,500 more expensive, but he and his staff recommend paying that to guarantee their order.  As mentioned, both the Police Department and Public Works Department have had vehicle orders canceled in recent years.
