Last Monday was the first day of the new Legislative Session down at the Iowa Capitol.  Last Tuesday, Governor Kim Reynolds gave her condition of the state address.  Sue Cahill, representative in Marshall County, talks about some of the things that excite her for this session.

As a former teacher, it is easy to see why this idea from the Governor excites Cahill.  What Cahill says she has had the most questions about is the Governors comments about the AEA, Area Education Agencies.

Another thing mentioned by Gov Kim Reynolds is eliminating the state income tax.  There will be a new flat tax rate in effect in 2025 at 3.9%.
