There has been a lot of talk about the downtown Marshalltown Main Street project that is coming in the next few years. There will be another Main Street project happening sooner. E Main Street from 5th Ave. to 12th Ave will have a complete overhaul.
That is Marshalltown Civil Engineer 2, Jay Koch. Koch spends a lot of time designing different projects for the city. Koch says that they will go out to bid for this project soon, and construction could start this year.
Koch says they are working with the School District so that the construction on E Main Street is the least disruptive for Woodbury Elementary School.
