Announced by the Marshalltown Mayor, Joel Greer, Joe Gaa has resigned as City Administrator for the city of Marshalltown.  Gaa was hired back in August of 2023, and has not served 6 months in his role.  In the announcement Gaa says, “Quite simply, it was not a good fit.”  The City Council will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, January 25th, at 5:30 pm in the City Council Chambers, 10 West State Street, Marshalltown to discuss the next steps in the search for a new full-time City Administrator.
