Last night the Marshalltown City Council called for a special meeting to accept the resignation of City Administrator Joe Gaa and discuss next steps.  During the discussion, Councilor Mike Ladehoff made a suggestion.

There was a serious discussion about this proposal and there were counselors with their reservations.  Counselor Greg Nichols compared making Tupper the City Administrator as to making him the Chief of Police, no experience.  Other suggestions were made, here’s Counselor Mark Mitchell.

The Mayor, Joel Greer, ended the meeting last night asking the counselors to go talk with the constituents about the possibility of Chief Tupper taking over as interim City Administrator.  Now is the time to let your City Counselor know how you feel they have handled this position for the last 8 months.
