Last year, the Marshalltown Police Department purchased another K-9, Timber.  Timber is partnered with handler and officer Ross Wolken.  One of the first things they did was attend a training school together.

Officer Wolken said it was like drinking from a firehose for those 3 months.  They train each day, but have 2 set days a month to practice skills to keep Timber’s skills sharp.

Officer Wolken and Timber have created a great bond, he said that when he gets into his personal vehicle he looks over his shoulder thinking Timber will be there.
