In 2022, the Flying Elbow in Marshalltown earned the title of the Best Burger in Iowa. The Best Burger contest is now in its 15th year, and they want the heavyweights back in the ring. The Iowa Beef Industry Council and Iowa Cattlemen’s Association are inviting former champions to fire up that grill for another test a Iowa’s Best Burger. Nominations will be taken for the contest beginning today, Monday, Feb. 12, through Tuesday, March 12. The top 10 burgers from that voting process will then undergo a secret judging process before the winner is announced in May.
