Announced at the City Council meeting on Monday this week, the Fourth of July fireworks show will cost more this year.  Louisa Ortega has been managing the firework show for the Fourth of July in Marshalltown for many years.  After speaking Monday at the City Council, she came on the Kyle Martin Show on KFJB to talk about the firework show in 2024.

Ortega wants to not only bring in a bigger name, but expand the celebration from a 1 day event to a 2 day event

There will be different fundraisers happening leading up to the celebration this summer, Friday next week will be a sip and paint at Tannin.  Donations are always accepted by reaching out to Louisa Ortega
