There are banners that are hung over the downtown district and viaduct, as well as over on 13th Street District. These banners are festive at times, but right now they are military banners. People can pay tribute to a service member they know.
That is Deb Millizer with the Marshalltown Central Business District. She says anyone who wants to pay tribute can reach out to her directly at her office. She is located in the same building as the Chamber of Commerce on Main St.
Millizer says the banners stay up until the Holiday Stroll when some more festive lights are put up. The final day to pay tribute would be April 1st, each banner does have a cost of $250.
