With the warm weather, people have been able to get outside and start cleaning up around their house and yard.  That has caused people to wonder when the compost facility will open up in Marshalltown.  Heather Thomas, Public Works Director for Marshalltown, joined the KFJB line this week to give information about the compost facility.

If the weather continues to be nice, like what we will see later in the week, and Thomas can hire a compost facility attendant, they could open sooner.

The Compost facility in Marshalltown is on the northside of town near Riverview Park.
