On Monday, Lynne Carroll and Desiray Christen with Heart of Iowa Big Brothers Big Sisters, made a presentation at the Marshalltown School Board meeting about the school based big and little program.  Christen first gives an overview of what happens in the School based program.

During their presentation, Dr. Theron Schutte, Marshalltown Superintendent of Schools, mentions how much he enjoys spending time with his little through this program.  Schutte has been matched with his little for over 6 years!

All the statistics show that the littles in the school based program have improved in self confidence and attendance.  Those are 2 items the Marshalltown Community School District is always trying to improve.
