Last night, David Hicks, YSS Marshall County Director, gave a quarterly report on MPACT, Marshalltown Police and Community Team.  Hicks was able to monetize some of the data from just the first couple months of 2024.

That is just money saved for not going to the hospital, Hicks also mentions the numerous arrests they have saved.  In turn that saves the officers time and allows them to be back out in the field quicker.  There is one thing that is on Hicks mind moving forward.

Hicks announced the hiring of a new advocate, Tiffany Beatle.  He says the program could be 24/7 if they had more funding to hire more advocates.  With only 2 advocates they can cover 7 days, 2pm – 12midnight.
