The weather may not feel like Spring, but we are officially out of winter and into the spring season. People will be out working in their yards cleaning them up before summer activities, and they will need to bring their compost somewhere. Marshalltown’s compost facility is opening this weekend.
That is Public Works Director, Heather Thomas, and she mentions that because it’s a holiday weekend there will not be staff there to help unload. The compost facility will also be open Saturday 9am – 4pm and then closed Easter Sunday.
The Compost Facility will keep the same hours as last year, it will be open Fridays 10am – 6pm, Saturdays 9am – 4pm and Sundays 12noon – 4pm.
