Recently the Marshall County Supervisors voted to approve some of the updates requested for the Marshall County Sheriffs Office.  Sheriff Joel Phillips, joined the KFJB line last week to talk about the current state of the Sheriffs Office and updates that are needed.

He says the addition of the jail complex was added in 1999 through a bond.  The Sheriffs Office also houses the Emergency Management for the County as well as the Emergency Operation Center for the County.

Sheriff Phillips says that many of these projects got pushed back due to the Tornado and Derecho and other projecting taking priority.
