The Iowa Legislature made it legal last year to shoot and kill raccoons that are roaming your property.  Dean Fisher, district 53 representative, brought a bill to the Iowa Legislature that would put a bounty on raccoon tails.  Sue Cahill, district 52 representative, talked about this bill on KFJB earlier this week.

This bill is estimated to cost the state $850,000 per year if the program was implemented.  That price tag may have deterred some representatives.

The Iowa Legislature has passed many bills this year, one big one being the Education Bill.  This is an example of a small bill being debated and discussed, ultimately it did not pass.
