Recently, 2 officers and their furry friends, were recognized for excellent work through the United States Police K9 Association.  K9 Handler, Nick Svoboda, called the KFJB line to tell our listeners what this certification means.

Officer Svoboda is with K9 Atlas, but the new dog, Timber, also got his certification with handler, Officer Ross Wolken.  Svoboda talks about some of the tests the K9 go through.

K9 Atlas and Officer Svoboda were honored with earning the Trifecta Award.  That is when a K9 and handler earn all 3 certifications which are: narcotics, patrol, and tracking.
