The Bobcat girls’ tennis team is off to a hot start this season, they are now 6 – 0 after a 10 – 1 victory over the Ottumwa Bulldogs last night.  Head Coach John Fiscus says, “Tonight the Girls had to battle Ottumwa and the wind. I was very pleased and impressed with the way they all handled the pressure.”  The Bobcats won every doubles match last night.  Fiscus said, “Rebekah and Kennedy are on a roll at number one doubles which is great to see. Hoping they will keep improving for Regionals.”  The next match for the Bobcats is Thursday at Des Moines Lincoln.

The Bobcat Girls soccer team faced off against Waterloo West at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex last night.  The girls get the victory 2 – 1.  McKenna Coleman scored in the 29th minute to draw even before Sara Huffman scored on a PK.  Esme Chavez had 2 saves while the Bobcats outshot the opponents 24-6.  The Bobcats are now 5 – 4 on the season and their next game is in 1 week at Des Moines East

The Bobcat girls golf team traveled south to Willow Creek Golf Course for the Lamson Invite.  The Bobcats were led by junior Natalie Henson who led the field with a 3 under 73.  Marshalltown finished with a team score of 357, 1 stroke back from Indianola for 2nd place.  Ames won the event with a 335.  The Bobcats are back in action today with a meet against Waterloo East at Gates Park Golf Course.  Tee off is scheduled for 3:30
