Jody Anderson is the owner of Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown, but he also gives back to the community.  He currently sits on the Iowa River Hospice Board, and has done so for over 6 years.  He says it was a mentor that pushed him to give back to his community early in his career.

Anderson says it is his role as a business owner to give back to the community monetarily and with his time.  He says he enjoys his time with Iowa River Hospice and working with those board members.

Anderson also was encouraging the next generation to start participating in the different boards across our community.  He suggests to volunteer for a couple organizations to find which one aligns with your values.
