The Central Rivers AEA, Area Education Agency, has a special group of people on a Crisis Response Team.  They respond to communities who may have just experienced a traumatic event.  One of those events happened in Eldora when a 12-year-old boy shot and killed a 13-year-old girl.

That is Kami Roberts, she is a school psychologist and a Crisis Response Team member with the Central Rivers AEA.  Roberts says they also help schools develop the message that is sent out to students and parents.  This Crisis Response Team still has all of their other responsibilities to care for.

There is a wide range of skills and specialties on the Crisis Response Team. These people are at the ready to respond to a community after a tragedy to be there to support.
