Marshalltown Community College will have a new Provost starting in June, Dr. Matt Schmit. Dr. Schmit is coming from Eastern Iowa Area Community College and has been in the community college role for over a decade.
Dr. Schmit will officially start in Marshalltown on June 3rd. Schmit talks about his background and why MCC will be a great fit.
Eastern Iowa Area Community College has a lot of programs working directly with the high schools, Scott Community College shares a campus with a high school in the Quad Cities. Dr. Schmit will be able to carry over tons of experience continuing education and non-traditional programs
