Yesterday the Marshalltown Court Complex was rocking starting at 9am for doubles and singles Region 4 girls’ tennis.  The bobcats had a few different singles and doubles playing but there is a doubles team moving on to state.  Senior Rebekah Downs and Junior Kennedy Feldman will take their talents to Johnston on May 24th!  These girls are the first qualifiers since Krissy Lankelma in 2010 after she won her 2nd consecutive state singles title.

The Marshalltown Bobcat girls soccer team was rolling with a 5 game win streak heading into last nights match against the Ames Little Cyclones.  The Bobcats fall behind 2 – 0 and rally back to tie the game 2 – 2, but were unable to get that final goal to push them ahead.  The Bobcats fall last night 3 – 2 at MCC.  The girls are back in action tonight when they travel way south to visit Ottumwa Bulldogs.

The Bobcat girls’ golf team competed yesterday at the Waukee Invite at Beaver Creek Golf Course in Grimes.  Junior, Natalie Henson, was runner up for the event, which helps the team earn 5th place overall.  Harper Wilson was a surprise for the Bobcats, as she shot an 84 putting her in 10th place, tied with teammate Gaby Estabrook.  The Bobcats will play again today at the Iowa Alliance Conference Meet at Bright Grandview Golf Course in Des Moines

The Bobcat boys’ soccer team will see action today as they will host the Ottumwa Bulldogs.  This game will be aired on KFJB-TV, pregame with Voice of the Bobcats Brandon Lewis starts at 7:15 and kickoff is scheduled for 7:30. You can watch on KFJB-TV’s YouTube or Facebook page
