Today starts the 3-day Esports Spring State Showdown in downtown Marshalltown, for the Spring Titles in High School Esports. The Orpheum Theatre in Marshalltown will be packed with students and spectators watching Mario Kart, Valorant, and League of Legends.
That is Tourism Director for the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce, Dylan Does. He said Mario Kart is played today, Valorant tomorrow, and League of Legends on Wednesday. One local business is taking full advantage of having these students so close.
Game Haven has moved to Linn St. and 1st Ave. right downtown, putting them in a prime location for the Esports Showdowns. Check out the incredible gameplay this week at the Orpheum Theatre or online at iahsea.org
