Last night the Marshalltown Bobcat Boys soccer team hosted a home playoff game at Leonard Cole Field.  This was the first home soccer game at Leonard Cole Field as the old field was not big enough for a soccer match.  The Bobcats showed up and showed out as they get a big win over the Mason City Riverhawks.  The Bobcats were led by sophomore Aaron Zambrano who had 2 goals late in the first half.  The Bobcats beat the Riverhawks 3 – 0 and will move on to play the Dowling Catholic Maroons on Monday next week.  Dowling is ranked #2 in the state.

The Marshalltown Bobcat girls Tennis team had a regional state match yesterday in Iowa City against Dubuque Hempstead.  Hempstead runs the table against the Bobcats and knock the Bobcats out of the team competition.  The Bobcats are still sending 2 ladies to the state doubles competition later this month, Kennedy Feldman and Rebekah Downs.

Today the Marshalltown Bobcat girls golf team will have the Regional golf tournament at the American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown.  Head Coach Lucas Johnson says hosting gives the Bobcats a HUGE advantage. The girls will tee off this morning at 10am, this is the tournament they need to perform at to make it to state.
