As many know, Miller Middle School has been around for nearly a century, and the school district has talked about potential updates coming. Miller first welcomed students in 1925 when it was being used as the high school. However, the building’s age, outdated design, and space limitations, among other issues, create challenges that hinder modern learning. Now, next week on Wednesday, the Marshalltown Community School District will be hosting a Community Meeting to discuss facility needs at B.R. Miller Middle School. Doors will open at 6pm on May 22nd and those who attend can expect a presentation and tours of the historic school. We will talk further about this meeting and project with Superintendent Dr. Theron Schutte for 1 segment on Open Forum, Monday morning.
